The Victorian Clinical Genetics Services (VCGS) together with the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute (MCRI) contributes to genetic teaching and curriculum development at Melbourne and Monash Medical Schools in the faculties of Medicine and Health Sciences.

VCGS, with the consent of clients, provides training opportunities for medical students in its clinics and research opportunities for successful applicants. Our staff lecture to medical students and are involved in their assessment. Medical students also regularly attend outpatient clinics in an observational capacity.

For further information regarding specific training opportunities for medical students, contact Dr Sue White, Head of Training: sue.white@vcgs.org.au.
