Arranging percept NIPT for your patients
Step 1 - Discuss
Discuss percept NIPT with your patients.
We have an A4 printable version of our patient brochure which can help guide discussions - in particular the 'key things to know' section.
You can also order printed DL versions of our brochure.
Alternatively, you can direct them to our patient information about percept.
Step 2 - Request form
Complete a percept NIPT test request form for Australia. An international version is available for requests from New Zealand and Japan.
You can also access a percept request templates through Best Practice and Medical Director.
Step 3 - Blood collection
Direct your patient to a VCGS affiliated collection site to have blood taken. Patients can scan the QR code on the request form to find a site, or visit our search tool.
Step 4 - Results
Samples are tested at VCGS in Melbourne.
Turnaround time is 3-5 working days from when the laboratory receives the sample.
Results and any relevant fact sheets will be sent to the referring doctor. All high chance results will be phoned through by our genetic counsellors.
