This page contains information and hyperlinks to everything you need in relation to percept NIPT.

  1. Discuss NIPT with your patients.
Here's a digital copy of our patient brochure which can help guide discussions - in particular, the ‘key things to know’ section.
  2. Complete the percept NIPT test request form. We have a fillable PDF version for Australian requests.
    * New Zealand or Japan, please access an international fillable PDF.
You can also access a template through Best Practice of Medical Director: Best Practice instructions | Medical Director instructions.
  3. Direct your patient to a VCGS affiliated collection site to have blood taken. Patients can scan the QR code on the request form to find a site, or visit Collection Sites on our website.
  4. Samples are tested at VCGS in Melbourne. Turnaround time is 3-5 working days from when the laboratory receives the sample.
  5. Results and any relevant fact sheets will be sent to the referring doctor. All high risk results will be phoned through by our genetic counsellors. Our team is available to support you and your patients at any stage of testing.

Printed DL patient brochures, request pads and collection kits can be ordered from our team.
